What a contest, the World’s top two Men’s Fours battling for the Gold medals and it could not have been any closer! Another fantastic performance from the GB Men’s Four saw them win Silver just three thousandths of a point behind the Ukranian Team in Duisberg! Barrie Hindson, Stuart McKenzie,Scott Patterson and David Scott who were 2nd in qualifications saw the Russians perform Bridge 4 Tower Top one arm asit to one arm handstand lower one arm staddle planch with full in and triple pitch to catch, triple pike to support landing and full in back out straight. The GB Team performed double layout and a fantastic routine, and clean all the way through to set up a nail biting finish.
The Ukranians had a few minor errors on somersault catches but their combined routine included bridge 4 high tower top one arm press to handstand transition one arm straddle lever one arm top plant to earn them the Gold medals in a very exciting Final.
GB’s other Men’s Four Adam Denny, Adam Dobbs, Adam Smith and Andrew Price came 3rd in Qualifiers in the Balance and the Dynamic routines.

In the Men’s DMT the gulf between the 2 sets of competitors was almost 8 points so I have only listed the top six. Canada performed superbly with two out of the top 4 including Silver for Denis Vachon who performed piked Rudi out, triple piked in his first run and a great full in Rudi straight, full full straight in his second. Bulgaria’s Radostin Rachev won Gold scoring 74.50 including Full in half out, straight Miller straight in his first run and finished with Rudi out piked full, full straight in his 2nd.
